Presented at noon on Friday, September 11th, 2026 at the Arlo Midtown in New York City, the collection finds de Souza playing with contrasts: glamour and grit, softness and strength, fantasy and the everyday. Perhaps nowhere is that more apparent than in one of the collection’s most provocative concepts: a dress inspired by New York City garbage. Taking something ordinary, overlooked and decidedly unglamorous, de Souza reimagines the visual language of the city streets as an elevated fashion statement.
Elsewhere, feathers are layered and arranged to evoke reptilian scales, creating an unexpected tension between organic softness and an almost armored structure. Leather and corsetry continue that dialogue between vulnerability and strength, while blush tones and bursts of vibrant color introduce femininity and a playful pop sensibility.

Romance arrives in the form of bows, which appear throughout the collection as both sculptural details and dramatic oversized accents. Three-dimensional elements give garments volume and movement, adding to the sense of fantasy and theatricality that has long characterized de Souza’s work.
Texture also plays a starring role. Tweed brings structure, while tapestry-inspired surfaces introduce richness, history and an artisanal quality. Against these more traditional references, de Souza weaves in playful elements drawn from New York pop culture and the street, creating a collection that refuses to distinguish too neatly between uptown polish and downtown attitude.
