Zeo Energy Selected as Fulcrum Point’s Primary Energy Storage Provider for Power Development Projects

In initial collaboration near Brigham City, Utah, Zeo will support Fulcrum’s gas-fired power project

Arrangement also creates potential for Zeo to access Fulcrum’s gas development capabilities for select Zeo behind-the-meter projects

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla., Sept. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Zeo Energy Corp. (Nasdaq: ZEO) (“Zeo,” “Zeo Energy,” or the “Company”), a provider of solar and energy storage solutions, today announced it has entered into a Co-Development and Collaboration Agreement ("Agreement") with Fulcrum Point Holdings, LLC ("Fulcrum"), an energy infrastructure development company developing gas, geothermal, and nuclear power projects in the Mountain West.

The Agreement designates Zeo as Fulcrum’s primary source for the design and development of services for short- and long-duration energy storage assets supporting Fulcrum projects. Fulcrum has also selected Zeo as Fulcrum’s primary developer of commercial solar systems for select Fulcrum projects. The Agreement creates a non-exclusive framework for Zeo and Fulcrum to evaluate and jointly develop or otherwise collaborate on power projects. Binding obligations for each future project would only be created through future definitive service or other agreements.

The collaboration is expected to create opportunities for Zeo to deploy the engineering, project-development and long-duration energy storage capabilities it acquired with Heliogen, Inc. (“Heliogen”), while allowing Zeo to utilize Fulcrum’s natural-gas development expertise on select Zeo projects. The parties’ shared objective is to improve project economics, reduce fuel consumption and emissions, and accelerate reliable power delivery for commercial, industrial and behind-the-meter customers.

Timothy Bridgewater, Zeo CEO, commented: “This agreement is an important step in Zeo’s strategy to turn the engineering and long-duration storage capabilities we acquired with Heliogen into commercial project opportunities. We look forward to exploring Zeo’s role as Fulcrum’s primary energy-storage provider and preferred commercial solar developer for select projects, which would give our team a defined role across a growing pipeline of power projects. Just as importantly, Fulcrum’s gas-development capabilities can help us deliver more complete, reliable behind-the-meter power solutions for customers that cannot wait years for additional grid capacity.”

Fulcrum President and Hi Tech Solutions, LLC founder Chris Hayter added: “Utah and the Mountain West have an urgent need for more power. We are developing gas, geothermal, renewable and nuclear generation sites to meet that demand. Zeo’s engineering team has energy-storage expertise that we believe can help us improve project efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and system costs, and lower emissions as we execute on our development portfolio.”

Initial Project: Energy Storage for Brigham City Power Development
As part of the initial planned cooperation activity, Zeo will provide design and development services for energy storage assets supporting Fulcrum’s gas energy projects near Brigham City, Utah. The contemplated storage solution is expected to reduce fuel consumption and emissions per MWh delivered by shifting thermal generation away from lower-efficiency part-load and startup conditions. Additional anticipated system benefits could include fast-response reserve, peak-output augmentation, and load-following and ramp-control capabilities.

Expanding the Value of Zeo’s Engineering Platform
Fulcrum expects to utilize the Heliogen engineering team’s concept-to-operation expertise across power, heat and water systems. The Agreement provides a commercial pathway for Zeo to apply this engineering platform across a broad set of third-party generation projects. The team’s scope of available services includes:

  • Feasibility and engineering studies;
  • Technology evaluation and selection across renewable and traditional energy sources;
  • Energy storage solutions ranging from minutes to multiple days, including lithium-ion BESS, emerging battery technologies, compressed CO2 storage and molten-salt thermal storage;
  • Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics for technology and hardware design and validation;
  • Industrial and commercial heat and water system design and modelin

Positioned for Growing U.S. Power Demand
The collaboration broadens both companies’ ability to support new power demand from manufacturing, industrial and computing customers, including data centers and government computing loads, while also addressing broader load growth. Zeo believes the combination of solar, long-duration storage, and dispatchable generation can provide customers with a practical path to reliable behind-the-meter power while larger grid and generation resources are being developed.

Utah, where both Zeo and Fulcrum have active projects, illustrates this need. In 2024, Utah Governor Spencer Cox announced the state’s "Operation Gigawatt" strategy, which calls for doubling the state’s power-generation capacity over ten years in response to population growth, industrial demand and the retirement of aging baseload capacity. The strategy contemplates an all-of-the-above generation mix that includes natural gas, geothermal, renewable energy, energy storage and next-generation nuclear power.
